Sony preps Develop 3D showcase as Japan freezes on TV upgrades

iPhone 4 sells 1.7 million in first week

Apple’s announced that 1.7 million units of the fourth generation iPhone have been sold since its worldwide release last week.

CEO Steve Jobs has said the launch of the tech has been “the most successful” in the company’s history.

That’s despite recent reports of issues such as bugs and the “grip of death,” with signal being affected by the way the device is held.

“This is the most successful product launch in Apple’s history. Even so, we apologise to those customers who were turned away because we did not have enough supply,” said Jobs.

Jaffe: Twisted Metal in development for 18 months

David Jaffe has revealed that Twisted Metal has been in development by Eat, Sleep, Play for around 18 months.

Lost Planet 2 patch incoming for PS3 and 360

Capcom has announced that a patch for Lost Planet 2 is to be released.

The update will include difficulty recalibration, balancing, various bug fixes, and re-spawn check points have been added to each section of a map and the boss area. Read more »

Deus Ex: Human Revolution is “a fresh start on the franchise”

Deus Ex: Human Revolution’s game director Jean-Francois Dugas has said that the development team behind the game are “dedicated to re-creating” the Deus Ex experience “for a new generation of gamers” that missed out on it previously.Speaking with Gamespot, Dugas said that as action RPG, the game has a “compelling narrative”, a “great cast of characters” and will allow you to play it the way you want. Rumor – Sonic Free Riders coming, has Natal support

Looks like SEGA has a new Sonic Racer game in the works for Natal, and it’s to be launched via XBL and announced at E3.
According to a source close to Joystiq, the game is called Sonic Free Riders and it allows players to gain weapons by reaching out to the screen and attack other racers with motion movements. Read more »
